At ChessLaw Consult, our approach to dispute resolution is to engage in litigation as a last resort. We encourage parties to settle their disputes amicably out of court. Arbitration
Arbitration is an ADR mechanism where parties to an arbitrable dispute submit to one or more private arbitrator(s) selected by them for the binding resolution of the dispute. It has become the preferred mode of dispute resolution in commercial disputes. The firm actively pursues all arbitration procedures diligently and competently.
We professionally approach arbitrable matters, using major Arbitration rules like the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Chapter A18, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004), whether the matter is before an ad hoc arrangement or within the context of established Arbitration institutions.
Conciliation
As an interventionist approach, Conciliation is a voluntary, none binding, private dispute resolution process in which a neutral person (conciliator) helps the parties to reach a negotiated settlement.
